CAMERON, Vincent of Jamaica Plain, passed August 27, 2023 at the age of 82.  Son of the late George and Emma (Tammany) Cameron.  Brother of the late Harold, Joseph, Frederick, Albert and Austin Cameron and the late Catherine Gomez. Uncle of Lita Dillon of Dover, DE.  Also survived by dear and close friend of Nicole Faulkner.

Over the years he worked at the McLean Hospital in Belmont which he enjoyed doing.

Vinny was a late employee of the Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home.  Having been friends with the owner Jerry Rodgers for over 30 years, Vinny would help out with whatever he could, from cleaning to yard work, shoveling or picking up paper work, Vinny was always there to lend his hand.  He also worked for a spell at Sorella's Restaurant in Jamaica Plain where he made numerous friends with all the regular customers.

Vinny took up residency at Mt Pleasant Home in Jamaica Plain  where he had the time of his life chatting, flirting and even dancing with the staff and other friends he met while living there.  He was the " King"  there and was loved by all.

Vinny made a lot of friends through the years, and one special furry one who won his heart was his beloved cat Lucky, who he adored.

He touched a lot of people.  Vinny's warm heart and friendship will be missed by so many.

Visiting hours will be at Mann Rodgers Funeral Home,44 Perkins Street  JAMAICA PLAIN on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 10am to 12 noon.  Family and friends are invited.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Vinny's name to the Mt. Pleasant Home, 301 So. Huntington Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA  02130. 

Interment will be private.
