Tony Hai Ngo, age 97, of Boston, Massachusetts, peacefully passed away on July 6, 2026, at the Sherrill House in Boston.

Born on January 1, 1929, in Saigon, Vietnam, Tony was the beloved son of Phung Ngo and Thao Thi Ho. He lived a long, full life defined by resilience, warmth, and a gentle spirit. He eventually immigrated to Massachusetts, where he built a beautiful life and a lasting legacy centered around his deep love for his family.

Tony found immense peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. His favorite days were spent taking quiet, reflective strolls along the beach, enjoying the ocean breeze and the soothing sound of the waves. He also held a deep, lifelong appreciation for his cultural roots, often filling his home with the beautiful, nostalgic melodies of traditional Vietnamese folk operas (Cải lương). His calm presence, bright smile, and love for music and nature will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Tony is survived by his long-time companion, Mai Huynh, and her daughter, Diane Huynh. He is also survived by his nine devoted children: Minh Cong Ngo, Hong Thi Thu Ngo, Nga Thi Huyen Ngo, Loan Thi Thu Ngo, Anh Thi Loan Ngo, Lab Thi Thu Ngo, Nhan Thi Thanh Ngo, Ryu Tan Ngo, and Nguyen Ian Ngo.

Family and friends are invited to attend his wake and traditional viewing services at the Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home, located at 44 Perkins St, Boston, MA 02130. Services will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
