TERESITA CUELLAR Obituary

Teresita de Jesus Cuellar, passed away peacefully at home at age 96, in Boston, MA on April 30, 2026. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia. In her youth relocated to Panama, Rep. of Panama, where she married the love of her life, Alejandro A. Cuellar a Panamanian diplomat and a political public figure.


Spending years abroad in Haiti and the Dominican Republic in diplomatic missions with Alejandro and their 6 children enjoyed the rich cultural heritage and beauty of the island. Embracing unique people and society, creating bonds of everlasting friendships. The family then retired to Boston, MA.


She excelled in serving others and supporting social causes with her dynamic and happy personality, through her extensive volunteering on numerous associations where she was praised and honored for her arduous work and dedication.


She was versed in three languages, loved dancing, as a hostess enjoy the planning and organization of social events at home, painted watercolors and acrylics, sculpted in clay, tend to the gardens, was an excellent cook, practiced karate, bowling, and loved her pets with devotion.


Loving mother to Alexia, Elizabeth, Alejandro, Teresita, Vladimir, and Reynaldo. A dear sister, mother in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, with family ties in Colombia, Panama and the Dominican Republic.


A Celebration of her Life with family and friends will be at Mann and Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 on May 17, 2026, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. No flowers and by request we will love to honor her memory with donations to a noble and important cause for her,at mspca.org/teresita
