RODOLFO "RUDY" J. HERNANDEZ

HERNANDEZ, Rodolfo “Rudy” J. of Rhode Island, Apr 24th.  Son of the late Gregorio & Ana C. (Lorenzo) Hernandez.  Loving & caring father of Lisa & her husband Mark Newhook of Foxboro and Dora & her husband Robert Pero of Connecticut.  Brother of Milagros Fernandez of Miami, Tony Hernandez of Miami, Urbano Hernandez of Cuba, Paula Hernandez of Brockton and the late Hugo & Solange Samara.  Honorary brother of Robert Newhook of Rhode Island.  Abuelo of Blaine & Markie Newhook and Isabella, Matthew & Sofia Pero.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews who he loved dearly and many good friends who were like family to him.  Former husband of Beverly Blaine. 

Rudy especially loved his daughters and grandchildren. His friends were very dear to him as well.  Rudy always made a lasting impression with everyone he met.  His hugs and loud boisterous voice would light up a room.  He loved landscaping his yard and creating an oasis for all to enjoy.  Born and raised in Cuba, Rudy truly appreciated what America had to offer for him and his family seeking political asylum after he immigrated to the United States. With a patriotic spirit Rudy could always be heard repeating "I love America".

A celebration of Rudy's life will be announced via Facebook at a later date when it is safe to do so.
