Richard passed away unexpectedly at age 62 on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was known to his friends and loved ones by “Muskie”.
He was born in Boston and raised in Chelsea MA, he was the cherished son to his mother Joan Green (Chillemi), father Richard and wife Valarie Green. Treasured husband to Linda (Crespo), beloved brother of Deborah, Stephanie and Tim. Dear father to Alexandria (Green) and husband Wendell Lancaster and proud grandfather to Hutchinson. He was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle to his nephews and loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Muskie graduated Chelsea High School in 1979, he had a brilliant and curious mind with an unmatched charm to spread laughter and joy all around. His chosen profession was as a Painter, and he did so for over 35 years.
His interests spanned across several fields including space, criminology, ancient civilizations and enjoying nature. He loved sports and played softball for many years he was passionate about music, Led Zepplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pink Floyd were among his favorites. However, he was truly passionate about his family, spending time and playing with his grandson Hutchinson this is what made him the most happy.
His loss weighs heavily on all the lives he touched and will be dearly missed.
Services will be held at the Carafa Family Funeral Home, 389 Washington Ave, Chelsea MA on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers we are asking that donations be made to help fight Alzheimer’s in honor of his beloved Noni, Mary Yearout. www.act.alz.org
