Regina Marie Jordan (Kelley)
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Jean, our loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all whose lives she touched on August 23, 2022 a lifelong resident of Jamaica Plain.
Loving spouse of James Joseph Jordan of Jamaica Plain, sons Stephen Jordan of Jamaica Plain and James Jordan II and his wife Lynn of Wilmington. Grandmother to James III, Kaitlyn and Eileen.
Loving sister to Rita Kelley Walsh of Hyde Park, predeceased by her brothers James, William, Lawrence, Robert, Francis and Edward.
Jean loved to cook and spend a lot of time in the North End of Boston where she developed the love of Italian food. She also shared her love of food with her family when she would always bring meatball and sausage casserole and lasagna trays to many family parties.
Jean loved to write many cards to everyone whether it was a card to say I love you or get well, she would always sign the back of the envelope with S.W.A.K (Sealed With A Kiss).
Her life was a living example of her favorite bible verse Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
The family would like to thank all those who have helped with the care over the past few years.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday August 29, 2022 at 10:00a.m. at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 14 Montebello Road, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
Family & friends invited.
