RALPH KIMBLE, JR. Death notice

Ralph P. Kimble Jr, affectionately known as “Tuffy” or “Kim” passed away on Saturday January 16, 2021 at the age of 74. Tuffy was a native of Boston Mass. who graduated from Jamaica Plain High School in 1966.

Upon graduation, he worked for New England Telephone. It was then that Tuffy met and married his former wife, Jamilah  and out of that union came their two daughters.

Tuffy was a talented musician. His vocals were matched only by his amazing skills as a percussionist. He’s recorded several CD’s and played with such bands as the Bakalalians, Luther “Snake” Johnson, Boston Baked Blues, and his own band,  The Cat Sass band.  He enjoyed being a musician, He loved playing at local venues such as The Cantab, Riles Club, The House of Blues, Chins in RI and played several years for the Stoughton Musical Society. Tuffy also had the opportunity to travel globally with  Luther ``Guitar”Johnson to European countries such as Turkey, Spain, France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

The only thing that rivaled Tuffy’s love of music was his passion for building and collecting model trains. Tuffy constructed a railroad which traveled from one room to the next in his home. He would even affix a camera to the engine and record video of the train as it took its ride through each room. Tuffy also enjoyed travel by train, taking several cross country trips, riding the rails.

Tuffy had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor. He was caring and compassionate and he loved to spend time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Tuffy was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah E. Kimble and Father Ralph P. Kimble Sr. He is survived by daughters Malikah Brown and Taliah Williams, grandchildren Autumn Johnson and Jordan Johnson, His aunt Alicia and uncle Ernest (Boots) Jones, a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
