Death notice
Quantina “Tina” Smith Ruffin formerly of Taunton, MA passed away in Houston, Texas on February 18th, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Ruffin Jr. of New Orleans, LA. Daughter of the late William Edward Smith and Ruth W. Smith of Boston MA. Preceding her in death are her siblings; Jerome Smith, Taunia Smith-Tate and Keith Smith all of Boston Ma. Tina was known for her beautiful smile and her no nonsense attitude. She also used humor to convey her message. Whether she liked you or not, you knew where you stood with her. She was a real woman and Heaven has gained a champion.
She leaves behind to mourn her daughter Bernadette R. Fernandes (Wesley Pugh) (Boston), son Corey Smith Ruffin (Yniksa Lemon) (Texas) and youngest son who she devoted her life to taking care of Casey Smith Ruffin (Texas), her beautiful granddaughters Precious Fernandes and Raven Fernandes both of Boston, MA and Adalyn Lemon of Texas, her loving former companion Joseph Wiltz of Texas, her church family at Fallsbrook Church in Houston,Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on SATURDAY, March 18th, 2023 at The Greater Faith Church Worship Center, 120 Safford St, Boston MA from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed immediately with a service. Family and friends invited.
Interment Oaklawn Cemetery, Roslindale.
