MARILYN HYDER Obituary
HYDER, Marilyn of Newport, RI. and Brookline, MA. Feb. 14th. Loving daughter of the late Warren & Margaret (Page) Hyder.
Marilyn taught history at the Mary E. Curley Middle School in Jamaica Plain for more than 35 years. She developed curriculum for the Boston Ballet, PBS Dance Curriculum as well as an AIDS Curriculum for the Boston Public Schools and the Harbor Connections Curriculum. She was a coodinator for AIDS drug and violence prevention education programs. Marilyn was a long time Boston IMPACT ll member and presented workshops for the Bostonian Society, We the People and for the Boston Ballet. She was dedicated to teaching American History and to bringing the joy of ballet to as many people as possible.
Marilyn is survived by her brother Frank of West Roxbury and her beloved Yorkie, Lillie. She will be forever loved by her countless friends.

SERVICE UPDATE - DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, FUNERAL HOURS WILL BE HELD MONDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH WITH VISITING HOUR FROM 8:30 - 9:30am at Mann Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins Street, Jamaica Plain followed by a Funeral Mass
at St Thomas Aquinas Church, Jamaica Plain at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St Joseph’s Cemetery.
