JUAN MELENDEZ Death notice

Juan G. Melendez (Gaby), passed away peacefully as he slept on November 6, 2022. He was 39 years old. Gaby was born in Boston and lived in Jamaica Plain since he was a child. The last 4 years he worked at Children’s Hospital as a Patient Experience Representative. Prior to that he worked many years for Stop and Shop and ABCD HeadStart.

He leaves behind a huge family and many, many friends and relatives.

Gaby is survived by his parents Juan E. Melendez and Dominga Bonilla, brother Jose and wife MaryAnn, sister Rosaicela (Rosa) and husband Daniel Acevedo. Gaby is also survived by nieces and nephews Jose (JJ) and Josie Melendez, Danitza and Daniel Jr. Acevedo, and a grandniece Amaris Melendez. He is also survived by his partner of 9 years Brian Hughes.

Visiting hours are FRIDAY evening from 4:30-8 pm at Mann Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins Street, Jamaica Plain. Relatives and friends are invited.

A Funeral service will take place on Saturday morning at 10am at the funeral home. Interment St Michael's Cemetery, Boston.
