Joan Angela Joseph was born on July 5th, 1942 in Port of Spain, Trinidad to McDonald Noel and Lillian Joseph. She lived in Port of Spain, Trinidad before migrating to the United States. She established her home in Boston and worked at the Harvard School of Public Health for 34 years until she retired. Her home in Jamaica Plain was known as a welcoming place to anyone who wanted to have conversation, share a meal, or enjoy refreshments while reminiscing about living in Trinidad. Joan loved to host family and friends for impromptu gatherings and holidays, whether you were family or a friend of a friend. On October 26th, 2020, in Boston, Massachusetts, Joan Angela Joseph, at the age of 78, went on to be with the Lord. Joan is survived by her beloved husband, Hollis Joseph, loving daughter Joanne Johnson of Jamaica Plain, stepson Ronald Parris and his wife Cynthia of New York, sister of Percival , Vincent (deceased), Allanso, Austin (deceased), Glen, Alfred, Bob (deceased), Stephen, Lester, and Muriel Simmonds (deceased). Joan is also survived and loved by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Visiting hours will be at Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins St, Jamaica Plain on Friday, Nov. 6th from 5-7pm.
UNDER THE COVID-19 GUIDELINES.....Only 10 visitors are allowed in the Funeral Home at one time. Lines may occur outside. Everyone entering the funeral home must wear a mask at all times and social distancing inside is enforced. After paying your respects visitors must leave the building allowing for others to enter. Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home and the Joseph family appreciate your support during this difficult time. Safety is our first priority.
