FRANCIS GENOVESE Death notice

GENOVESE, Francis William (Franny) of WEYMOUTH, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away on January 26, 2019, five days short of turning 63, after a long battle with esophageal cancer.

Francis was born in Boston, and was the son of the late Frank & Concettina Genovese.  He was also a loving brother and friend to Alan Genovese and his wife Linda of Cohasset, Paul (Jimmy) Genovese and his wife Cathy of Marshfield and Dianne Hagblom and her husband Frederick of Brookfield.  He is also survived by his children Christina Genovese of Canton, Gina Genovese of Boston, Jeanette Ricci of Natick and Frankie Genovese of Wellseley, his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Francis will always be remembered by his infectious personality and his quick smile. It was his greatest attribute.  He had the ability to make you laugh right away.  He had a gift to find the irony in a situation and always could relate it to an episode of the three stooges and recite it verbatim.  He also liked to sing.  I swear he thought he was once a member of the Commodores.  He was one of a kind.

Visiting hours will be held at Mann Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins St, Jamaica Plain, Saqturday, February 2, 2019 from 11am – 2 pm.  Relatives and friends invited.
