ELIZABETH WHITE

ELIZABETH K. "BETSY" WHITE, has gone to be with the Lord on June 14, 2022.  Betsy had spent a month at BIDMC prior to hospice. 

She was born in Staten Island, NY on September 25, 1943.  She is survived by her brother Jay R. White and his wife Tina from Gig Harbor, WA and his sister Kathryn G. Beliveau of Woonsocket, RI, nieces and nephews Ann Gish, Stephen, Michael and Patricia Gilden, Jay White, Jr. Ryan White, Christina Stammers, Danielle Vargas, John Beliveau and 5 grand  nephews and nieces and 3 great grand nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents Katherine H.(Hurley)  White and Charles Kingsley White, her sister Leslie M. Gildea and her husband James.  She is also survived by close friends Robin & John Omar, Roy & Judy Babb and her Mount Pleasant Home family.

Mount Pleasant Home in Jamaica Plain has been home to Betsy for over 31 years.  She holds the record for the longest residency in the 121 year history of the facility.  Betsy is being remembered by her fellow residents and staff as being incredibly kind and helpful, especially  to new arriving residents, offering a helping hand and supportive words and of course tootsie roll pops.  Betsy was very loved by everyone at Mount Pleasant Home and she will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours  will be held on Sunday, June 19,2022 from 2-5pm at Mann Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins St, Jamaica Plain 

(corner of So. Huntington Ave).   Relatives and friends invited.

Interment will be private.
