McLESTER, Edith of Jamaica Plain, passed September 21, 2023. Daughter of the late Sam & Lurla (Dobbs) Caldwell. Beloved wife of the late John Fred McLester.

Loving mother of Lana Denise McLester, Benny McLester and the late Johnny Fred McLester, Jr., Lisa McLester and Judy Perkins.

Sister of Edna Mabry, Annette Caldwell, Angela Caldwell, Benny Caldwell, Leroy Caldwell, Ronny Caldwell, Sam Caldwell, Jr. and the late Lorraine Walker.

Grandmother of Lanitra Searcy, Rachel Perkins, Cheyenne Verry, Aleathea Martin, Michael Searcy, Monty Barzey McLester, Anthony Hurse and Demetrius McLester and Great grandmother Iyautta Searcy, Empress Searcy, Jovanni Searcy, Imani Barzey Pilar and Bryce Perkins. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Visiting hours will be Friday, September 29, 2023 at Mann Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins Street, Jamaica Plain at 12 noon.. Family and friends invited.

Interment Fairview Cemetery, 45 Fairview Street, Hyde Park, MA
