PEREZ, Aurelia of Boston,
Aurelia Perez (Abuela Yeya) was born in Puerto Rico on December 3, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Teodoro and Ceverania (Perez) Pena. She was the mother to her late children Awilda (daughter), Francisco (son) and Arturo (son). She was a very strong woman and we were extremely fortunate to have her with us until the age of 101. She taught us many valuable lessons that were based on her Catholic beliefs. She instilled in us that family was everything, that food could heal the soul and that music would bring us joy. She was a very proud Puerto Rican woman who always shared stories with us about where she was born & raised and how important it was to keep our traditions alive. She enjoyed listening to music by her "love" Vicente "Don Chente" Fernandez and she enjoyed staying up to date with all the current gossip shows on her favorite channels every day. She was the matriarch of our family and thanks to her our family will continue to live on for generations to come. She is survived by her immediate grandchildren & great-great-great grandchildren. Abuela Yeya passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 8, 2022 and is now in heaven with her beloved children like she always wanted.
