Thomas D. Mahony

MAHONY, Thomas D, 85, passed away with his family by his side at home in Brookline on July 2nd.  Beloved husband of Ellen (Murphy) Mahony.  Devoted father of Donna, Dennis  and David Mahony.  Extra special grandfather to Dennis, Meredith, Thomas, Stephen and Erin.  Great grandpa to Jimmy, Gabby, Aubs and Ali.  Tom is survived by his brothers Frank & wife May, John & wife Maryann and James Mahoney all of Quincy, the late Joseph of Westwood & surviving wife Mary, Charles of Waltham & surviving wife Joan, Arlene Mellaly of CT  and surviving husband Burt and the late Alice & husband Bob Murphy of Marshfield.  Brother in law to Ann & Bill Davis of Cambridge, Katie & Jim Hanifin of Jamaica Plain, Tom & Charlotte Murphy of Wellfleet, Patricia Giddings & the late Arthur of W. Roxbury, Mary Christian of Foxboro and the late Margie Christensen & surviving husband Richard of Florida.  He is also survived by many other loving family members.  Tom was a man of great integrity & compassion.  A retiree from the Town of Brookline and AT&T. He was a Korean War Army Veteran & a member of the American Legion Post #76 in Jamaica Plain.   Special thanks for the  compassionate care provided to Tom by the Good Shepherd Hospice.  Per his wishes, Tom will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held in the near future.  Funeral Arrangements by the Mann – Rodgers Funeral Home in Jamaica Plain.
