Rudolf I. Bunde

February 4, 1955 to October 30, 2018

Rudy Bunde, 63, of Waltham, sadly passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. He was the son of Irina (Ivins) and the late Rudolf Bunde. He was the long-term partner of Irene Fassler of Waltham. He was formerly separated as the husband of Andrea Bunde of Marblehead.

Additionally, Rudy leaves behind his brother, Viktor Bunde and his wife Zane Bunde, his sister, the late Inese Racenis and her husband Martin Racenis, as well as several nephews.

Rudy grew up in Hopkinton, Mass., graduating from Hopkinton High School. He earned a BS and MBA in Accounting from Babson College in Wellesley. 

Rudy was proud of his Latvian heritage and was fluent in Latvian.

He had a successful career at ECRM Imaging Systems as their Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance in Tewksbury, MA from 1981 to 2003. From 2005 to 2018, he worked atCircadian Companies, Inc. as the CFO based in Stoneham. Prior to his employment at ECRM and Circadian Companies, he served as a consultant in auditing, as Controller, in accounting and tax consulting.He was respected as a wonderful co-worker.

Rudy enjoyed life to the fullest and lived a healthy lifestyle. His zest for life included several years spent running and playing racquetball with friends at the Westford Regency Health Club. He also enjoyed skiing, biking, gardening and watching Boston sports; he especially loved watching Red Sox games. 

Anyone who was fortunate enough to know Rudy would immediately remember him as a genuine good person who always had a nice thing to say about anything.  He enjoyed life to the fullest, radiating a positive attitude living a healthy lifestyle. 

He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, and all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, Nov. 5, 11 a.m. at the Latvian Church, 58 Irving St. in Brookline, Massachusetts. Relatives and friends are invited; Interment will be private.
