JANETTE COHEN

Janette Cook Cohen, born on April 22, 1926 in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Gertrude MacGregor Cook and the late Ernest Cook, passed away peacefully at age 92 on October 26, 2018. Janette was the loving wife of the late Nathan Cohen. She was a long-time resident of Jamaica Plain. She was in the cosmetics industry, as a Sales Manager for Christian Dior at Filenes' Boston for many years, until retiring in 1985. She is survived by her sister, Marie Cook Alex; her daughters, Siddhia Hutchinson and Jeanne Michaels; step son, Frederick Cohen; granddaughter, Jessica Gilbreath; grandsons, Jonas Del Genio, Jeremy Moran, James Moran; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her warmth and her laughter, as well as her multiple greeting cards. She loved beauty in nature and in life. She enjoyed painting flowers in water-color, and dancing and listening to big band music. Donations in her memory may be made to, Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, Jamaica Plain, Boston. A celebration of her life will be private.
