ELIZABETH MCKEOWN Death notice

MCKEOWN, ELIZABETH, of FRAMINGHAM, Apr 29th.  Widow of the late William P. McKeown. Daughter of the late William & Gertrude (Bowdring) Kennedy.  Mother of Fran(Frances) Campion of Framingham, Laurie McKeown of Jamaica Plain, Christine McKeown of Holliston, Mark & Thomas  McKeown of Framingham, John McKeown of Westwood and the late Paul McKeown of Framingham. 

Grandmother of  Tracy Henley of FLA, Luke A. O’Sullivan of PA, Adrian P. O’Sullivan of Medford, Catherine McKeown-Lindsey of Jamaica Plain, Mary Elizabeth McKeown of Shrewsbury, Maggie-Louise, Violet, Jack & Thomas of Framingham, John, Paul & Delaney of Canton and Korina & William of Framingham.  Also survived by great grandchildren Jordan, Jackson, Joshua, Sophie & Ava Henley and Colette, George & Vasilios Stamatos.

Predeceased by brothers William E., Edward, and Henry Kennedy.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Born in Somerville, graduated from Weymouth High School.  Became a registered nurse after graduating Cambridge Hospital School of Nursing.  She met her husband while she served as a nurse in the Navy.  Later she worked at South Shore Hospital and Framingham Union Hospital, and retired from St. Patrick’s Manor, a non-profit health facility in Framingham.  Elizabeth was devoted to raising her children and encouraging her grandchildren; she was a devout Catholic and many of her children attended Catholic schools.

Funeral Services from the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, FRAMINGHAM.  Visiting Hours will be from 5-8 pm on THURSDAY at the Norton Funeral Home.  Relatives and friends invited. 

A Funeral Mass will take place Friday morning at 10 o’clock at Saint Stephen’s Church, 221 Concord St., Framingham.

  Interment St Stephen’s Cemetery, Framingham.
