ESTABROOKS, DAVID L. of JAMAICA PLAIN, April 9th.  Life Partner of Linda Imperial Nahabedian.  Former husband of Maureen Hodgkins.  Beloved Father of Kathleen Ghannam of VA.  Brother of Bruce & his wife Jane Estabrooks of Hanover, Peter & his wife Esther Estabrooks of Gorham, NH, Lakshmana  of Robins Bay, Jamaica, Pamela of Brewster, MA  and the late Duncan Estabrooks.  Brother in Law of Mary Estabrooks of Guild Hall, VT.Grandfather of Lilliana Ghannam.  Son of the late  LeBaron & Margaret (Hall) Estabrooks.  Also survived by many nieces & nephews. 

Visiting Hours at Mann Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins St, JAMAICA PLAIN on Tuesday, April 16th from 6-8pm.  Relatives and friends invited.

            JAMAICA PLAIN, Massachusetts – David Little Estabrooks, a year round resident of

Jefferson, New Hampshire at differing times for various reasons from 1950 to the 1980’s, died

on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 quietly in the company of his life partner and memory of his pet dog

at 71B Spring Park Avenue, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130: He was born on December 30, 1942 in Melrose, MA; his family moved to Center Harbor, NH for the balance of the 1940’s.

            He is survived by his Life Partner, Linda Imperial Nahabedian. Former Husband to Maureen Hodgkins of Gloucester, MA. Beloved Father to Kathleen Ghannam of Springfield,     VA. Brothers, Peter & his wife Esther Estabrooks of Gorham, NH; and Bruce & his wife Jane Estabrooks of Hanover, MA. Sisters, Suzanne (aka–Lakshmana) Estabrooks of Robins Bay, Jamaica, West Indies; and Pamela Estabrooks of Brewster, MA.; and the late brother Duncan Estabrooks of Guildhall, VT. Brother-in-law to Mary (aka–Teen) Estabrooks of Guildhall, VT. Grandfather to Lilliana Ghannam of Springfield, VA. Son of the late LeBaron (aka–Bud) & Margaret Hall–Estabrooks, MA; and step-son to Phyllis Estabrooks of Winchester, MA.

            David Estabrooks is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visiting hours were held at the Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins Street, JAMAICA PLAIN on Tuesday, April 16th from 6-8pm for a large group of well-wishers. In anticipation,

for many months, David had been quietly reaching out to his dispersed family and friends.

            The well-wishing was followed the next day by a Funeral Service at Mann & Rodgers, 9am; and then interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Mattapan, MA with military honors that

recognized David’s service in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Donations in David’s

name can be made to the Angell Animal Medical Center–Jake’s Fund for MCPCA, 350 South

Huntington Avenue, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.

            A memorial celebration of David Little Estabrooks’ life on earth is planned for DATE TO BE DECIDED,

 at his favorite watering hole, the well known DOYLE’S CAFÉ, circa 1855; and first

home & intro of Samuel Adams Beer (See Doyle’s Café & Restaurant web site for their story):

Located at 3484 Washington Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 within a short walking distance
