SHIRLEY L. LATHAM

LATHAM, Shirley L. (Sweeney) June 3rd, born December 16, 1929.of Hudson, formerly of Jamaica Plain.  Beloved wife of the late William C. Latham.  Loving mother of Mark of NH and Linda Karpeichik and her husband Michael of Marlboro.  Sister of Helen Fleet of Saugus, Donna Harrill & husband James of Westford, Barbara MacDonald of Canton, Nancy Sweeney of Marlboro and the late  Edward Sweeney, DMD.  Grandmother of Ryan & Tyler Karpeichik and  Alexander & Julia Latham. Also survived by many nieces & nephews.  Shirley grew up in Jamaica Plain and raised her family with her husband William in Dedham.  For 17 years she has enjoyed her Hudson condo life with many dear friends.  Shirley retired as Credit Manager from Gold Seal Sporto Company in 1989.  Her most evident love & devotion to The First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain spanned 87 years.  Shirley truly believed in God’s work being done in this place and all things possible in the future.

Jamaica Plain on Tuesday, June 13 at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Service at The First Baptist Church, 633 Centre St. (corner of Myrtle St.) at 11am. Relatives & friends invited.  Visiting Hours at the funeral home are Monday evening from 4-8pm.  Interment Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree.  In lieu of flowers Memorial Gifts may be made in her name to The First Baptist Church Restoration Fund, 633 Centre St, Jamaica Plain, MA  02130.  Guestbook@mannandrodgers.com
