RAFAEL SANCHEZ

SANCHEZ, Rafael of Dorchester, Passed away at his home on August 6th.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Rosa M. Montalvo. Loving father of  Juan R. and Norma Sanchez, Herminio and Beatriz Sanchez, Juan B. Sanchez and Francis, Israel And Elsa Sanchez, Benjamin Sanchez, Ovidio and Janet Sanchez, Rene and Karen Sanchez and the late Ivan Sanchez.   Elia and Hector Santiago, Lucy Sanchez, Ermelinda and Emilio Cardona and Betzy Sanchez.  Also survived by many grand and great grandchildren.  Rafael was born on July 20, 1918 in Lares, Puerto Rico to Florencio Sanchez and Rosenda Raices  where he was raised with his many siblings.  He brought his family to Boston, MA in the 1970’s.  He lived for many years in Jamaica Plain working incredibly hard and was a wonderful husband and father.  He was an active member of the Saint Patrick Parish in Dorchester, MA.  His lively energy and love will deeply be missed. 

Funeral from the Mann & Rodgers Funeral Home, 44 Perkins St (corner of So.Huntington Ave) Jamaica Plain on Thursday at 10:15 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, 400 Dudley St, Roxbury at 11 o’clock.  Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm  Relatives & friends invited.  Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.  Guestbook@mannandrodgers.com
